Verdane’s roots go back to Four Seasons Venture, founded in Oslo in 1985. The firm’s current platform began after its team acquired a portfolio of 96 growth companies from the Norwegian government in 2003 and shifted toward more mature growth investments.

Verdane invests in European tech-enabled and sustainable businesses through minority or majority positions, backing individual companies or portfolios. Its investment themes are digitalisation and decarbonisation, with typical equity tickets ranging from €20 million to more than €150 million.

The firm is especially distinctive for combining growth investing with an in-house operational team, Elevate, which supports portfolio companies across commercial strategy, technology, data, finance, talent, cybersecurity and sustainability. Verdane is also a certified B Corporation and has offices across the Nordic region, the UK and Germany.
