TP ICAP’s heritage dates to 1866, while the current group was created when Tullett Prebon completed its acquisition of ICAP’s global hybrid voice-broking and information business on December 30, 2016. The group later acquired Liquidnet in 2021 and operates under brands including Tullett Prebon, ICAP, Liquidnet, PVM and Parameta Solutions.

The firm connects institutional buyers and sellers across financial, energy and commodities markets. Its activities span voice, electronic and hybrid broking; agency execution through Liquidnet; energy and commodities brokerage; and OTC pricing data, analytics and technology through Parameta Solutions.

Its strongest positioning is in wholesale and OTC markets where liquidity is fragmented or products are complex, particularly rates, FX, credit, equities, energy and commodities. For students, the business offers routes across broking, technology and operations, data, risk, compliance and other corporate functions rather than only traditional investment-banking roles.
