The Dot Group

The Dot Group traces its roots to 1991, when Nicholas Porter founded UNITE, a pioneer of purpose-built student accommodation. The Dot Group identity was introduced in January 2023 to bring together businesses built across more than three decades of student-housing activity.

The group operates across the student-living value chain through Global Student Accommodation (GSA), operator Yugo, marketplace Student.com and student-living lender Kinetic Capital. Its distinctive strength is this integrated model: it combines real-estate investment and fund management with accommodation operations, online distribution and debt financing.

For students, the group offers exposure to commercial, finance, investment-management, technology, operations and governance work. Its graduate programme includes rotations across three of its businesses during the first year, followed by a further year in one business.
