Temasek Holdings

Temasek was incorporated in 1974 to manage 35 companies and investments transferred by Singapore’s Minister for Finance, with an initial portfolio valued at S$354 million. The Singapore Government remains its sole equity shareholder, but Temasek owns its assets outright and operates as a commercial investment company rather than as a fund manager for the Government.

Headquartered in Singapore, Temasek invests across geographies, sectors, investment stages and liquidity profiles. Its portfolio is organised into Singapore-based Temasek Portfolio Companies, Global Direct Investments, and Partnerships, Funds and Asset Management Companies.

The firm is especially distinctive for long-horizon portfolio construction and active ownership of major portfolio companies, alongside direct investments in global businesses and partnerships with funds and asset managers. Its investment group offers structured summer associate internships and the Temasek Associate Programme for students and graduates interested in investing.
