Tarmac

Tarmac traces its heritage across more than 150 years and combines the Tarmac road brand with Blue Circle, associated with the patenting of Portland cement. The business is now part of CRH and has its registered office in Solihull.

It supplies aggregates, asphalt, cement, ready-mix concrete, lime, building products and recycling services, alongside road contracting, highway maintenance and infrastructure services. Its customers include infrastructure developers, contractors and other construction businesses across the UK.

Tarmac is especially strong in road and infrastructure materials, national distribution and construction-sector recycling. Its sustainability work includes recycled aggregates, reclaimed asphalt and lower-carbon products, while its scale gives early-career hires exposure to both operational sites and corporate functions.
