Stolt-Nielsen Limited

Founded by Jacob Stolt-Nielsen in 1959, Stolt-Nielsen has developed from a shipping business into a diversified, Oslo-listed group focused on logistics, distribution and aquaculture. Its corporate office is in London, while the company is incorporated in Bermuda.

The core portfolio comprises Stolt Tankers, Stolthaven Terminals and Stolt Tank Containers, which transport, store and distribute bulk liquids such as chemicals, food-grade products and energy-related cargoes. Stolt Sea Farm produces turbot and sole through land-based aquaculture, and the group also has investments in LNG and other related businesses.

Its strongest position is in specialised liquid logistics: operating chemical-tanker fleets, strategically located storage terminals and a large ISO tank-container network. This gives the group expertise across several stages of the bulk-liquid supply chain rather than relying on a single shipping segment.
