Sona Asset Management

Sona Asset Management was founded by John Aylward in 2016; its UK operating entity was incorporated on 17 June 2016. The firm is headquartered in London and also lists offices in New York, Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi.

Sona invests across the credit spectrum, with a primary focus on European markets. Its platform covers an all-weather credit long/short strategy, capital solutions, CLOs and significant risk transfer, spanning liquid and private credit markets.

The firm's clearest strengths are fundamental credit research, event-driven and relative-value investing, leveraged finance expertise and sourcing in complex or less-liquid situations. It manages capital for institutions including public and corporate pensions, endowments, foundations, insurers and family offices.
