SiriusPoint was formed in 2021 through the merger of Sirius Group and Third Point Re, combining two established insurance and reinsurance businesses. The company is headquartered in Bermuda and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under SPNT.

It underwrites primary insurance and reinsurance for clients and brokers globally, including treaty and facultative reinsurance, property and casualty coverage, Accident & Health, and programs distributed through managing general agents. In March 2026, it reorganized into four business areas: Global P&C Programs, Global Reinsurance, Global Accident & Health, and London Market Specialty, which includes Lloyd’s Syndicate 1945.

SiriusPoint’s clearest strengths are specialty underwriting, reinsurance and Accident & Health. Reinsurance represented approximately 40% of gross written premium in 2025, while the company added 16 new programs and continued investing in data, pricing and exposure-management capabilities.
