Shojin
UK real-estate crowdfunding and development-finance platform, now in administration after enabling fractional property investment.
Highlights
About Shojin
Shojin was established in 2009 and launched its FCA-regulated online real-estate investment platform in 2017. It originally targeted high-net-worth and family-office investors before broadening access to global individual investors through fractional property investments.
The platform connected investors with UK property opportunities across the capital stack, including senior loans, mezzanine finance, bridge lending, preferred equity and fractionalised income-generating assets. It also provided property-development finance to borrowers and carried out project due diligence and ongoing monitoring.
Shojin’s strongest area was mid-market UK residential and specialist real estate, including private rented sector, student accommodation and senior living projects. However, Shojin Financial Services Limited and Shojin Property Partners Limited entered administration on 23 March 2026; Shojin’s website states that it is not currently accepting new investments.
