Sandbrook Capital was established in 2021 after its founders had worked together in climate infrastructure for 14 years. The firm describes itself as a private investment firm focused on building businesses that are important to the transformation of global energy infrastructure.

Sandbrook invests in and partners with companies across renewable power generation, battery and pumped storage, grid infrastructure, energy efficiency and power-ready digital infrastructure. Its model combines investment capital with operating-partner support to help management teams develop and scale infrastructure platforms.

Its strongest differentiator is a focus on company-building in climate infrastructure rather than only acquiring operating assets. The portfolio spans solar, wind, battery storage, pumped storage and grid-related businesses across North America and Europe.
