Revolut

Founded in the UK in 2015, Revolut began with money transfers and foreign exchange designed to be faster and cheaper than traditional banks. It has since expanded into a mobile-first financial platform for consumers and businesses.

Its products include payments, multi-currency accounts, cards, savings, lending, investing, crypto, travel services, and business banking. Revolut became a fully operational UK bank in March 2026, while continuing to expand through banking and payments licences in other markets.

The firm is especially strong at scaling consumer and business financial products internationally. Its 2025 results show substantial operating scale, with more than 80 million retail customers, 767,000 business customers, $6 billion in revenue, and $2.3 billion in profit before tax.
