PSP Investments

Established by Parliament in 1999, PSP Investments is a Canadian Crown corporation that manages pension assets for the federal Public Service, the Canadian Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Its head office is in Ottawa, while Montréal is its main business office and investment hub.

PSP invests across capital markets, private equity, credit investments, infrastructure, real estate and natural resources. Its approach combines public-market exposure with long-duration private-market investing, including direct investments, partnerships and operationally intensive assets.

The organisation is especially notable for its scale, global diversification and long investment horizon. In fiscal 2026, capital markets represented 51.3% of net AUM, while private equity, infrastructure, credit investments, real estate and natural resources made up the balance alongside cash. PSP also integrates climate-related risks and opportunities into its investment lifecycle.
