Permira

Permira is a global investment firm founded in Europe in 1985 under the Schroder Ventures name; it adopted the Permira name in 2001. The firm now operates a private equity and credit platform with more than €89 billion in total committed capital and over 500 employees across 15 offices.

Its private equity strategies include buyout and growth equity, focused on technology, consumer, healthcare and services. Permira also invests through its credit business. Its portfolio approach combines thematic sector research with support for international expansion, digital transformation, operational improvement and strategic growth.

Technology is a particular strength: Permira reports more than €24 billion of equity invested and 85 technology investments. The firm also has a dedicated value-creation team supporting portfolio companies on areas including performance improvement, post-merger integration, carve-outs and digital enablement.
