Founded in 1875 as Peters Elworthy & Moore, PEM has grown into Cambridge’s largest independent firm of accountants, tax advisers and business advisers. It is headquartered in Cambridge and operates as a member of Kreston Global, giving clients access to an international accounting network.

PEM provides audit, accounting, tax, corporate finance, financial planning, wealth and virtual finance office services to companies, individuals and non-profit organisations. Its client base includes owner-managed businesses, technology and life-sciences companies, charities, Cambridge colleges, schools and other educational institutions.

The firm is particularly strong in charity and not-for-profit work, advising more than 250 organisations and providing audit and tax services to more than two-thirds of Cambridge colleges. Its technology practice is focused on startups, scaleups and established companies in Cambridge’s technology and life-sciences ecosystem.
