About Oxford Economics

Oxford Economics was founded in Oxford in 1981 as a joint venture involving John Walker and Templeton College, Oxford. It has developed from a forecasting operation into an independent economic advisory firm with a global client base.

The firm provides economic forecasting, scenario analysis, consulting, data and analytical tools. Its clients include financial institutions, governments, central banks, asset managers, energy companies, manufacturers, retailers and other major businesses.

Its particular strength is connecting macroeconomic analysis with detailed sector, country, city and regional insight. The firm combines proprietary economic models with economist-led research to support decisions on strategy, risk, policy, market opportunities and resilience.
