Old Mission began building its quantitative market-making platform in 2008 after identifying an opportunity in the ETF market. It is headquartered in Chicago and also has offices in New York and London.

The firm trades its own capital and provides liquidity across exchange-traded asset classes, including ETFs, equities, bonds, currencies, options, futures, and other derivatives. Its institutional business helps investors and issuers transfer risk through competitive pricing and execution.

Old Mission is especially strong in ETF market making and securities that are difficult to price or trade efficiently. Its model combines quantitative research, proprietary pricing systems, high-performance engineering, and real-time risk management; the firm says it values thousands of instruments globally and has traded trillions of dollars of securities.
