Novuna

Novuna is the trading style of Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC, formerly Hitachi Capital (UK) PLC. The business adopted the Novuna brand in February 2022 after the merger of Hitachi Capital Corporation and Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance. It is wholly owned by Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc., a global financial group.

The company provides asset finance, business cash-flow finance, vehicle leasing and fleet services, retail point-of-sale finance, and personal loans. Its UK divisions serve SMEs, larger businesses, retailers, consumers and vehicle users, with a separate European vendor-finance operation.

Novuna is particularly substantial in UK commercial finance: its business portfolio reached £1.9bn in FY2024/25, while sustainable project finance exceeded £100m in balances outstanding. The group also reported £8.6bn of net earning assets and £4.65bn of new business volumes for continuing operations in that year.
