About Natixis
Natixis was formed in 2006 through the combination of Natexis Banques Populaires and businesses from Groupe Caisse d’Epargne. It became part of Groupe BPCE in 2009 and is headquartered in France.
Today, Natixis operates mainly through Corporate & Investment Banking and Asset & Wealth Management. Its CIB business provides advisory, financing, global markets, corporate banking and capital-markets services, while Natixis Investment Managers runs a multi-affiliate investment platform across public and private assets.
The firm is especially strong in sustainable finance, infrastructure and other real-asset financing, energy-transition sectors, structured finance and institutional asset management. Its recent positioning is more focused than the third-party blurb suggests: insurance and payments businesses were transferred to BPCE in 2022, so they are not core Natixis businesses today.
