Melotech was founded by entrepreneur and investor Soheil Mirpour. The company is based in Berlin and applies generative artificial intelligence to media and entertainment; its public materials describe work spanning music, video and communities.

Melotech says its work has been heard, watched and enjoyed for more than 3 billion minutes worldwide over 24 months. Its particularly distinctive focus is the combination of AI engineering, content operations, creative production and audience growth rather than a narrowly defined audio-software product.

The company remains relatively early-stage and has recruited across AI/ML, data science, music and audio, product, venture development, marketing and founders-associate roles. Its disclosed backers include Cherry Ventures, Speedinvest and GFC, alongside angels associated with Spotify, Blackstone and KKR.
