About LGT

LGT was founded in Vaduz in 1921 as Credit Bank, and the Princely Family of Liechtenstein acquired a majority stake in 1930. It remains owned by the Princely Family and operates as a family-run financial group.

LGT provides private banking for high-net-worth individuals, families, foundations, and entrepreneurs, alongside asset-management services for private and institutional investors. Its offering covers investment advice, portfolio management, wealth planning, financing, alternative investments, philanthropy advice, and family governance.

The firm is particularly associated with long-term, diversified investing through its Princely Strategy, which gives clients access to an approach also used by the Princely Family. Sustainable investing, impact investing, and philanthropy are important parts of its proposition, including through the LGT Venture Philanthropy Foundation established in 2007.
