Lenovo Group Limited

Founded in 1984, Lenovo was incorporated in Hong Kong in 1988 as Legend Holdings and adopted the Lenovo Group Limited name on April 1, 2004. Its 2005 acquisition of IBM's personal-computer business, including ThinkPad, accelerated its expansion from a China-focused PC company into a global technology group.

Lenovo sells PCs, workstations, smartphones, tablets and accessories, alongside servers, storage, edge and high-performance computing infrastructure. It also provides software, digital workplace, cloud, support and other technology services through its Solutions and Services Group.

PCs remain Lenovo's core strength: the company retained the global market-leadership position in the fourth quarter of FY2025/26, while its AI-related businesses became a major growth engine. Its scale is also supported by a global operating footprint covering 180 markets, more than 20 R&D locations and over 30 manufacturing sites across 11 markets.
