Lancashire Group

Founded in 2005, Lancashire is a Bermuda-based specialty (re)insurance group that has expanded from its original catastrophe-focused franchise into a more diversified platform. Its underwriting operations span Bermuda, London, the United States and Australia.

The Group operates through three platforms: Lancashire, Lancashire Syndicates and Lancashire Capital Management. Together they provide insurance, reinsurance and retrocession, including Lloyd’s capacity and fully collateralised third-party reinsurance.

Lancashire is particularly focused on specialty short-tail risks such as property catastrophe, energy, marine, aviation and terrorism. Its distinctive strength is disciplined underwriting across multiple capital platforms, allowing it to adjust capacity and risk appetite as market conditions change.
