About La Caisse
Founded on July 15, 1965, La Caisse was created to manage the Québec Pension Plan and now manages funds for 48 mainly public and parapublic pension and insurance depositors. It invests globally on their behalf while retaining a mandate to support Québec’s economic development.
La Caisse manages public and private-market investments across equities, fixed income, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, private credit and external funds. Its strategy is built around long investment horizons, diversification, direct investing and active partnerships with companies and operators.
Its clearest areas of strength are infrastructure and private equity: La Caisse describes itself as the world’s largest institutional infrastructure investor and ranks among the world’s ten largest private-equity investors. For students, it offers exposure to institutional investing across Montréal and international offices rather than a single product or asset class.
