Founded by Bobby Jain, Jain Global launched its investment business on July 1, 2024, after raising $5.3 billion in initial commitments. The launch was the largest hedge-fund debut since ExodusPoint’s $8 billion launch in 2018, according to Bloomberg reporting.

The firm runs a multi-strategy public-markets platform spanning fundamental equities, rates and macro, equity arbitrage, credit, commodities, systematic trading and Asia-Pacific investing. Its model integrates these businesses with centralized technology, infrastructure and risk controls rather than operating as a collection of standalone teams.

Jain Global is especially notable for the speed and scale of its build-out: it reports more than 400 team members across six offices, with New York as its headquarters. For students, the firm offers exposure to a young but highly institutionalized investment platform where investing, data, technology, operations and risk functions were designed together from inception.
