Imperial College London

Imperial College London was founded in 1907 by bringing together the Royal College of Science, the Royal School of Mines and the City and Guilds College. It remains based in South Kensington and now operates across nine campuses in London and the South East.

The university specialises in science, technology, engineering, medicine and business. Its research and teaching are organised around strong links between disciplines, with Imperial Business School particularly focused on finance, financial technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, healthcare management and climate finance.

Imperial is especially strong at translating research into commercial activity. Its startups and spinouts have raised more than £1 billion over the past five years, while the university provides incubation, enterprise education and startup investment support through initiatives including the Imperial Incubator and Enterprise Lab.
