Founded in 1974, IG Group began as the world's first spread-betting firm and is headquartered in London. It has since developed into a global trading and investment group operating across 19 countries and five continents.

The group provides leveraged trading in CFDs and spread bets, exchange-traded derivatives through tastytrade, and non-leveraged stock-trading and investment products. Its brands include IG, tastytrade, Freetrade, Independent Reserve and IG Prime, with access to more than 19,000 financial markets.
