ICG plc

Founded in the UK in 1989 by six entrepreneurs focused on mezzanine debt, ICG began managing third-party capital in 1994 and was listed on the London Stock Exchange the same year. The company changed its legal name from Intermediate Capital Group plc to ICG plc in July 2025.

ICG manages capital across five asset classes: structured capital, private equity secondaries, private debt, credit and real assets. Its investment approach centres on providing flexible financing and investment solutions to private companies, management teams, founders and business owners across the capital structure.

The firm is especially strong in structured capital, secondaries and debt strategies, while continuing to expand its real-assets platform. For students, its early-careers offering includes London-based graduate programmes and an eight-week summer internship with exposure to investment, client solutions and corporate or business-services teams.
