Gerald Edelman was established in 1946 by Gerald Edelman and Toby Hoffman after they left the RAF. The firm began with two partners and fewer than 15 employees, and is now based at 73 Cornhill in the City of London.

The firm provides audit and assurance, accounts and tax, corporate finance, international tax, company secretarial and payroll, HR, wealth management and family office services. Its client base spans sectors including hospitality, property, technology, retail and manufacturing, with work covering both business and personal financial needs.

Its strongest differentiator is breadth within a mid-market platform: alongside compliance work, it offers deal advisory, tax investigations and private-client services. Gerald Edelman acquired a majority stake in WTT in 2023, adding specialist tax-investigation and contractor advisory capabilities, and became a certified B Corporation in 2024.
