About Frontier Economics
Frontier Economics was founded in London in 1999 by a group of economists seeking to build an independent consultancy owned by its employees. The firm remains wholly employee-owned, with permanent staff receiving shares and share options according to grade.
The firm advises governments, businesses and regulators on markets, strategy and public policy. Its work combines financial analysis, data science, game theory and behavioural economics, covering areas including competition, regulation, digital markets, energy, communications, financial services, healthcare, transport and climate policy.
Frontier is particularly strong in competition economics and regulated industries, including complex antitrust matters, market design, litigation support and regulatory strategy. It was recognised as "outstanding" in the GCR 100 2025 listing of leading competition practices. For students, the analyst route is economics-focused: Frontier describes a two-year analyst programme with rotations across practice areas, mentoring and opportunities for cross-office work.
