Founded in 1981 as a two-person estate agency in Notting Hill Gate, Foxtons has developed into a listed property-services group with a strong London identity and an expanding presence in selected UK commuter markets. Its history includes an early customer website, distinctive branding and a technology-led operating model.

The group operates across three segments: residential lettings, residential sales and financial services. Lettings is the core business, covering tenant finding, rent collection, renewals and property management; sales serves private sellers and new-homes developers; and the Alexander Hall brand provides independent mortgage broking and related financial products.
