About EY
EY was formed globally in 1989 through the merger of Arthur Young and Ernst & Whinney, building on predecessor firms with roots going back to 1903. Its global headquarters are in London, and it operates as a network of legally separate member firms rather than as one single operating company.
The firm provides Assurance, Consulting, Strategy and Transactions, and Tax services across more than 150 countries and territories. EY-Parthenon covers strategy, M&A, due diligence, corporate finance, transformation and value creation, while Consulting works across technology, operations, risk and organisational change.
For students, EY is especially relevant for audit and assurance, transaction-related advisory and large-scale transformation work. It is also investing heavily in AI: EY.ai is being developed as a platform combining EY's professional-services expertise with enterprise AI capabilities.
