EQT

EQT was established in Stockholm in 1994 with backing from Investor AB, AEA Investors and SEB; its first fund launched in 1995. The firm’s roots are in the Wallenberg family’s philosophy of responsible, long-term ownership.

Today, EQT invests across Private Capital and Real Assets, covering businesses from start-up to maturity through private equity, venture, growth, infrastructure and real estate strategies. Its active-ownership model combines investment teams with operational support for portfolio companies.

EQT is especially strong in thematic investing and value creation in areas such as technology, healthcare, industrial technology and energy transition. Its proprietary Motherbrain platform, established in 2016, uses data and AI to support sourcing, investment analysis and portfolio-company initiatives. Sustainability is integrated across the investment process, while the independent EQT Foundation provides grants and catalytic capital to researchers and impact-driven start-ups.
