Ensors

Founded in Ipswich in 1889, Ensors developed from a local accountancy practice into a regional firm serving businesses, individuals and organisations across East Anglia. It now operates as part of Azets following the acquisition announced on 2 September 2025, while retaining the Ensors brand during the integration period.

Ensors provides audit, tax, accountancy, corporate finance, business recovery and forensic accounting services. Its offices cover Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ipswich, Norwich and Saxmundham, with a serviced London office also available for clients.

For students, the firm offers a broad regional-practice environment rather than a narrowly specialised role: graduate trainees can study toward the ICAEW ACA or ACCA, with training typically lasting around three years. Its work is especially relevant to candidates interested in owner-managed businesses, private companies and mid-market transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, valuations and fundraising.
