About EDF Trading

Founded in 1999 as a joint venture between EDF and Louis Dreyfus, EDF Trading became wholly owned by EDF in 2003. It connects EDF Group businesses and third-party customers with wholesale energy markets from offices in Europe, North America and Asia.

The firm trades and optimises power, natural gas, oil, LPG and environmental products; LNG and Japanese power are handled through its relationship with JERA Global Markets. Its work combines physical asset and supply-chain optimisation with market trading, hedging, analytics, risk management and origination.

EDF Trading is particularly strong in European power and gas, environmental products and quantitative energy-market analysis. Its graduate and internship roles span trading, origination, analytics, systematic trading, market risk, credit risk, technology and finance.
