Highlights
About Eastdil Secured Savills
Eastdil was founded in New York in 1967 by Benjamin V. Lambert and Eastman Dillon Union Securities. In 2006, Wells Fargo merged Eastdil with Secured Capital Corp. to form Eastdil Secured. Savills completed its acquisition of the firm in July 2026, after which the business was rebranded Eastdil Secured Savills.
The firm advises real estate owners, investors, lenders and companies across investment sales, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalisations, joint ventures, capital raising, debt placement, structured credit and loan sales. It combines real estate market knowledge with investment-banking execution and operates through 21 offices.
Its strongest differentiator is scale and specialization in complex commercial real estate transactions. Eastdil ranked first in Real Estate Alert's 2025 real estate M&A advisor table and first among office-sales brokers in 2024, making it particularly relevant for students interested in real estate investment banking, capital markets and transaction advisory.
