Drake Star’s operating roots date to 2003 through Redwood Capital and LD&A Jupiter; the Drake Star Partners brand was formed when the two firms merged in 2016. The firm is headquartered in New York and operates as a global technology-focused investment bank.

It advises entrepreneurs, corporates, private equity funds and growth companies on M&A, divestitures, growth financings, private placements, recapitalizations and other corporate-finance transactions. Its coverage spans eight technology verticals, including software/SaaS, fintech, digital media, HR tech, digital services, industrial tech, mobility and sustainability, and consumer and retail technology.

The firm is especially strong in mid-market technology transactions and cross-border execution. Drake Star reports more than 500 completed transactions, with over 70% of deals cross-border and more than 60% of sell-side mandates representing founder exits.
