Established in 1926, Dains is an independent chartered accountancy and business advisory group headquartered in Birmingham. It has expanded beyond its Midlands base into London and the South East, the North West, Scotland and Ireland through organic growth and acquisitions.

The firm provides accounting, audit, tax, corporate finance, forensic accounting, payroll, business recovery and other advisory services. Its client base is concentrated on ambitious SMEs, owner-managed businesses and mid-market companies rather than large multinational corporations.

Dains is particularly notable for its acquisition-led expansion and broadening national footprint. Its corporate finance team completed 20 deals in the first half of 2025, while the wider group was ranked 22nd in Accountancy Age’s 2025 Top 50+50 UK accountancy-firm ranking.
