Da Vinci Trading

Da Vinci Trading is a proprietary trading firm founded in Amsterdam in 2015. It has since expanded to offices in Miami, Hong Kong and Mumbai, and says it trades solely with its own capital rather than managing client money.

The firm uses two main strategies: market making, where it provides two-way liquidity, and position taking, where it trades with a directional view. Its activity spans digital assets and traditional financial instruments, including options, stocks and futures used for hedging.

Da Vinci is especially technology-led: its development team built an in-house trading system from the ground up in 2020. The firm says it is not focused solely on high-frequency trading, combining high-frequency automated strategies with less automated positional strategies. Its culture is described as non-hierarchical, with traders, quantitative researchers and engineers working closely together.
