Founded in London in 2008 as Lion’s Head Global Partners, the firm rebranded as Cygnum Capital Group on June 14, 2023. It combines investment banking, financial advisory and asset management, serving governments, development institutions, corporations and financial institutions across emerging and frontier markets.

Its investment banking work covers sovereign advisory, capital raising, debt and equity structuring, bond issuance, fund formation and transaction execution. Sector strengths include renewable energy, infrastructure, critical minerals, real estate, public-sector finance and development finance.

Asset management is a central part of the platform. Cygnum manages funds focused on local-currency debt, energy access, agriculture, climate finance and low-carbon businesses, with a particularly strong footprint in Africa and an emphasis on mobilising institutional and development-finance capital.
