Founded by Ian Sims in 1999, Colchester Global Investors is a privately owned investment manager headquartered in London, with offices across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. It manages money primarily for institutional clients such as pension funds, foundations, endowments, insurers and sovereign wealth funds.

The firm focuses on four core strategies: global sovereign bonds, global inflation-linked bonds, local-currency emerging-market debt and an alpha programme.
