Founded in September 2003 by Nicolas von Bülow and Stéphane Valorge, Clipperton began as a Parisian corporate finance boutique focused on high-tech start-ups. It has since expanded its presence across Europe and into the United States, while retaining a specialist technology focus.

Clipperton advises entrepreneurs, corporates, private equity firms and venture investors on sell-side and buy-side M&A, mergers, technology buyouts, growth financing, private placements and debt advisory. Its sector coverage includes software, SaaS, fintech, healthtech, digital services, e-commerce and deep tech.
