Founded on July 31, 1995, CICC was established as China’s first joint-venture investment bank by Chinese and international financial institutions. It is headquartered in Beijing and has developed from a China-focused investment bank into a broader securities and investment-management group.

CICC provides investment banking, equities, fixed income, private equity investment, asset management, wealth management and research services. Its core client work includes equity and debt financing, IPOs, M&A and other capital-markets transactions for Chinese and international companies.

The firm is especially strong in PRC-related capital markets and cross-border execution. In 2024, it ranked first for global equity financing and global IPO financing by PRC-based companies, completed nearly 400 overseas and cross-border deals, and led China’s domestic M&A financial-adviser league table.
