Chubb traces its history to the Insurance Company of North America, founded in 1792, and to the Chubb family’s marine underwriting business established in 1882. The current company took shape in 2016, when ACE Limited acquired The Chubb Corporation; Chubb Limited is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.

Chubb provides commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, accident and supplemental health insurance, life insurance and reinsurance.
