Highlights
About Cboe Global Markets
Cboe began in 1973 as the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the world's first marketplace for trading listed options. It later developed index options, the VIX volatility index and VIX futures, and expanded through acquisitions into a broader exchange network.
Today, Cboe operates markets in options, futures, cash equities and global FX across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Its businesses include trading venues, clearing operations, market data and analytics, with technology and market structure at the center of its operating model.
The firm is especially strong in listed derivatives: its SPX and VIX products are major tools for equity exposure, hedging and volatility trading. For prospective interns, the business combines exchange operations, quantitative market structure, technology, regulation, data and institutional finance rather than traditional investment banking or asset management.
