Canary Wharf Group

Canary Wharf Group’s regeneration of London’s former Docklands began in 1988, transforming the area into a large commercial district. Today, it operates as an integrated property developer, owner and manager focused primarily on the Canary Wharf Estate in East London.

Its portfolio spans offices, retail, residential and development land. As of June 2023, the group’s estate comprised 26.5 million sq ft of mixed-use space, including more than 1,100 build-to-rent apartments, alongside extensive public realm, shops, restaurants and amenities.

The firm is strongest in large-scale urban regeneration and long-term estate management: it develops buildings, retains ownership interests, manages the surrounding place and continues to expand Canary Wharf through Wood Wharf, a mixed-use neighbourhood combining homes, offices, retail and community uses.
