Buro Happold

Founded in Bath in 1976 by Professor Sir Edmund Happold and seven partners, Buro Happold began as a structural-engineering practice and developed into an international consultancy. Its headquarters remain in Bath, UK.

The firm combines engineering, design, planning, project management and advisory services across buildings, infrastructure and the wider environment. Its work spans disciplines including structures, building services, sustainability, transport, digital design and urban development.

Buro Happold is particularly strong where projects require several technical disciplines to work together—such as major regeneration schemes, city-scale infrastructure, complex buildings and climate-focused design.
