Berkeley Research Group (BRG) was co-founded in 2010 by economist David Teece. The firm has grown into a global consulting and expert-services business with more than 1,600 people, over 40 offices, and a presence across six continents.

BRG advises corporations, law firms, governments, and regulators through four main areas: economics, disputes and investigations, corporate finance, and performance improvement. Its work includes expert testimony, damages and valuation analysis, forensic accounting, restructuring, regulatory matters, and operational advisory.

The firm is particularly strong in litigation support and economic analysis. Chambers ranked BRG in Band 1 globally for Economic Analysts and Global Economic Risk in its 2025 guides, reflecting its position in high-stakes disputes, competition matters, investigations, and risk-related advisory work.
