Blueground

Blueground was founded in Athens in 2013 by Alex Chatzieleftheriou and Alexis Maragkos after Chatzieleftheriou experienced the difficulty of living out of hotels while working across multiple cities. It began by partnering with landlords, furnishing apartments, and offering them as move-in-ready homes through an online platform.

The company serves individuals, business travelers, relocating employees, and corporate clients seeking flexible stays of a month, a year, or longer. Its platform combines apartment booking, digital leasing and payments, guest support, maintenance coordination, and local property operations.

Blueground is especially strong in extended-stay furnished housing and corporate accommodation. Its growth model now includes its directly operated apartment portfolio, franchising, and a Partner Network that adds vetted third-party furnished homes.
