BlockTech is an Amsterdam-headquartered algorithmic trading firm founded in February 2018 as BlockTech B.V., originally under the name CRATR. Its own company history says it began quoting Bitcoin options in July 2018, expanded into Ethereum options in March 2019, and launched a new market-making software platform in December 2019.

The firm trades cryptocurrency derivatives and spot markets with its own capital, operating continuously across global venues. Its activities include crypto options, delta-one trading, quantitative research, trading, software engineering, and direct counterparty trading solutions.

BlockTech is especially focused on the intersection of market making, quantitative models, and trading infrastructure. Its roles and company materials emphasize in-house systems for pricing, execution, positions, PnL, hedging, market data, and real-time monitoring, with operations in Amsterdam and Singapore.
