Founded by Changpeng Zhao in July 2017, Binance grew from a cryptocurrency exchange into a broader digital-asset and blockchain ecosystem. Its core platform supports spot and derivatives trading, while adjacent products include lending, payments, institutional services, education, and Web3 offerings.

Binance is especially strong in market access and trading liquidity. CoinGecko reported that it held 38.3% of centralized-exchange spot volume in December 2025, while CryptoQuant reported approximately $7.0 trillion of Binance spot trading volume during 2025. BNB Chain, built around the BNB token, is a separate decentralized blockchain ecosystem supporting applications such as DeFi, gaming, NFTs, and other Web3 products.

For applicants, the firm offers roles across finance, strategy, operations, quantitative strategy, product, engineering, legal, and compliance. Binance’s scale comes with material regulatory complexity: in November 2023, the company agreed to a resolution with the U.S. Department of Justice involving violations of anti-money-laundering and sanctions-related requirements.
